Apparently, the new theme I was using earlier today didn’t like to let comments through. Isn’t that nice? Hmph. So I’ve got another new theme, and this one (theoretically) works. If you have any problems, please shoot me an email at [email protected]

Also, go me! I’m reading Longinus! But I am eyeballing Fragile Things, heh.

And while I’m being talkative today, the prospect of graduating with my MA in English is looming overhead, so I’m looking for schools for my Ph.D. I’d like to be able to continue my pop culture studies, but I’m realistic and I know I’ll need to work on something a bit more marketable, too. I do want to get a job after I graduate. I’m interested in children’s/YA lit as well as gender/women’s studies. Here’s the kicker: I want to go to school on the west coast. I’d prefer California (northern CA if I can get it), but I’ll happily entertain the possibility of schools in Oregon or Washington.

So, which schools have great English departments? Which ones are open-minded about pop culture stuff? Which are just plain awesome?
