When I Was Your Age, Television Was Called Books!
Neatorama has an awesome post full of The Princess Bride trivia. That’s one of those movies that I can practically quote from memory, and I had the hugest crush on Cary Elwes for years (Twister pretty much killed that crush dead, though, and really, he hasn’t aged well. [shudder]).
Here’s hoping Neatorama does a post like that for Willow. It came out the year after The Princess Bride, and because I spent most of my late childhood obsessed with both movies, I always associate the two. And Val Kilmer was ridiculously hot as Madmartigan, especially with the long, black hair. Rowr.
Also, Sorsha was one of the main reasons I dyed my hair red when I was 18. Along with Dana Scully, of course. ;)

It just occurred to me that it’s been nearly 21 years since Willow was released. 22 years for The Princess Bride. I think this picture of Madmartigan is the best way to express my feelings about this revelation:
