I really think the movies didn’t give Snape enough face time, there is a lot of conflict and question in the series that gets glossed- with a few long pauses and Rickman’s expressive eyes he probably could have fixed that right up. Mostly in the movies he just looks like he’s constipated with frustration at being out maneuvered by a group of meddlesome kids. Or am I thinking of Old Man Weatherby being unmasked on a rerun of Scooby Doo?

Emma’s poster is scary and pisses me off that they think it’s even necessary. AS IF teenage boys need extra incentive to wanna bone a teenage girl?

LOL, I have to agree with everyone about the Emma poster. Her legs actually look way too small for her body after the retouching and her waist has definitely been altered. Although I agree with you that the chest hasn’t been altered, it’s just that she’s wearing a waist-defining, puffy sweater that naturally does that (which, incidentally, was a bad decision: it makes the photoshopping more obvious).

On that note, I would hate to be an actress of that age and see myself and go, “Well, THAT’S photoshopped…guess it’s not ME they want to display larger than life :|”

I actually don’t hate the Snape makeup. I mean, it’s not stellar, but it’s not HORRIFIC in my opinion. Anyway, it’ll probably look better in the movie. From the previews I’ve been seeing the cinematography is gooorgeous and that’s going to be distracting me (in a good way).

Photoshopped or not, Snape qualifies for HOT here in my book. IMO, it’s just a poster, I’ll get to see the unaltered!Alan in the movie (unless George Lucas gets his hands on it).

Emma’s poster is creepy because it’s been altered to an extreme. The entire outline of her body has been retouched. And I do think the chest was manipped a tad. I believe the creepy factor is that tptb have smoothed the insides of her thighs and slimmed them. As learned in my graphics biz courses, this is the not-so-subtle attempt by magazines (and Hollywood) to send a “f@ck me” message to adolescent boys.

Yeah, it does look like they narrowed her waist… at least they didn’t make her boobs bigger like they tried to do in a poster for the last movie. Sheesh.

That actually bothers me less than Emma’s bothers me. Does it look… Off to you? I feel like they must have airbrushed that space between her arm and waist. I don’t know. There’s something else about that one that bothers me too but I can’t put my finger on it.

Spot on with the Ian McKellan comparison with Gambon though.

The only one I really like? Ron’s. :P
