I’d definitely recommend the Dresden Files books. They’re a lot of fun. They’re told from Dresden’s point of view, and he definitely has a dark-yet-amusing sense of humor. The stories are good, too. =)

Amanda, would you believe that I still haven’t picked up any of the Sookie novels? I dunno why, everyone seems to recommend them highly, but I just haven’t had the urge to read them. Hrm.

I’m currently reading The Magicians and Mrs. Quent, which you might like as well if you like worldbuilding. As for Gail Dayton, I LOVED her Rose series. If you haven’t read that already, you should add that to your pile.

Woo hoo! The semester is OVER. Done. Can’t do anymore with it. I don’t do much reading for enjoyment. Instead, I listen to books for pleasure, and WOW! I’ve found a great one. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. But, that comes on the heels of listening to 4 days of the Kansas Evolution Hearings. Maybe anything would be good. Kidding. Dragon Tattoo is the best thing I’ve listened to since . . . since . . . since . . . Pratchett (Hat Full of Sky). That was 2 weeks ago.

I just finished reading the latest Trek novel, Full Circle, which was a "Let's go back and tie up a few loose ends and fill in some huge plot holes in the previous Voyager novels" novel. I was also able to get my hands on the first four of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files novels at 75% off and have been devouring those as time permits; I'm about 3/4ths through the second book and wishing that Sci-Fi didn't cancel the TV show based on these books, because seriously. They're awesome.

I’m glad to hear you’re digging Patricia Briggs, Renee! I think she’s a fantastic writer, and I love her style. That Disney book does sound interesting; I might have to try to hunt that one down myself, out of curiosity as to what they scrapped.
