TDF Pamela’s Review:

This is kind of a difficult review to write, mainly because I want to write “OMG IT’S SO COOL” about a hundred times and leave it at that. This is one of the coolest books I’ve had my hands on in quite some time, and if you’re a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy, you will definitely love this book.

When I first saw the title, I expected a pop up book, but the actual format is even better. Each page is a “slice” of the Millennium Falcon, accompanied by technical specs and notes from Han Solo and Lando Calrissian on modifications that they have made to the ship.

I’m sorry, I need to interrupt myself. HOW COOL IS THAT?

The level of detail is pretty impressive, especially for a book theoretically aimed at kids ages 8 and up (we all know that grown up Star Wars geeks are going to buy this thing for themselves), and the writeups for the various features and equipment on the ship are both easy enough for kids to understand and detailed enough to satisfy adult readers. The illustrations and layered pages look fantastic and are definitely detailed enough to keep you poring over this book, looking at everything. The modification notes sound like Han and Lando, so kudos to whoever wrote those! You definitely got their voices down.

This book would make a great gift for a Star Wars fan of any age (or for yourself, if you’re a Star Wars fan). Check out a couple of sample pages below!
