Iron Man deleted scene… first look!

Comics2Film has a deleted scene from Iron Man, featuring Tony’s first excuse for taking his suit on a jaunt to Afghanistan. Spoilers after the jump.

I can see why Favreau and co. decided to ax this scene from the final cut. It’s a bit racy if they want to snag young viewers (though the raciness doesn’t bother me), but mostly, it goes against the evolution of Tony into the guy at the end of the film, who is more concerned with doing the right thing than banging three hot chicks in his house in Dubai. Or pretending to bang three hot chicks in his house in Dubai while he’s actually out doing the right thing.

It all depends on the direction they wanted to take Tony, and from what we saw in the theatre, this scene just doesn’t mesh with that direction.

It’s still interesting, though, and I’d give my eyeteeth to see Tony try to explain that one to Pepper. :D
