Wondering what we’ve been up to lately? The Discriminating Fangirl Weekly Update will keep you all informed about what we’re into this week and what we’re looking forward to in the weeks to come. You can always follow us on our Facebook page, Twitter, or personal social media accounts for more.

Amanda
Reading: Still working on A Dream of Ice because I’ve been a little sidetracked. Not sure what I’ll pick up next, but possibly The Wytches vol 1 by Scott Snyder, The Wrath and the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh, or The Iron King by Julie Kagawa.

Listening to: Backlogs of the Get Booked podcast while I work on a cross stitch project and some ambient/chill mixes on YouTube for when I’m reading. If you want to know what podcasts we like, be sure to check out our pinboard.

Watching: Just finished rewatching Sense8. Also, sorta rewatching Daredevil since my parents haven’t seen it yet.

Waiting for: The end of my work day, so I can go home and play Fallout 4, which I finally got over the weekend on sale from Steam.

Pamela
Reading: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (thanks, local library’s digital collection!) and Death Comes to Pemberley by P. D. James. I love Jane Austen and especially Pride and Prejudice, so I’m hoping adding a murder-mystery into that world will be right up my alley. And after seeing the trailer for Tim Burton’s adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, I thought I’d give the book a read before the movie comes out.

ReyTFAListening to: At this point, mostly the sounds of Mr. Fangirl playing Destiny and my dog snoring. I haven’t been in a very musical mood lately for whatever reason.

Watching: I’m hoping the PBS app will have the first episode of Grantchester season 2 available to stream, because that’s what I really want to be watching right now! Otherwise, Mr. Fangirl’s been on a Bones kick on Netflix, and… I’m remembering why I stopped watching Bones years ago, heh. The characters are still pretty great, but it started going off the rails around season 8 or 9.

Waiting for: STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. [kermit flail gif] It’s actually out on April 1st if you buy on iTunes, which is how we’re going to buy it. So if you hear shrill screaming on Friday, don’t worry, it’s just me hanging out with my space girlfriend Rey again.

Keep an eye out for next week’s post. Let us know what you’re up to this week in the comments below.
