Wondering what we’ve been up to lately? The Discriminating Fangirl Weekly Update will keep you all informed about what we’re into this week. You can always follow us on our Facebook page, Twitter, or personal social media accounts for more.

Reading: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Not sure what book I’ll be moving onto next, but I wanted to get this one read before I watch the recent adaptation (with shirtless Aidan Turner). I’ve actually never read any Agatha Christie before.

Listening to: Basically this on a constant loop:

Watching: GBBO (called The Great British Baking Show here because “bake off” is a copyrighted phrase in the U.S., who knew?) is back on our local PBS station. Though I know who won s6, I’m still excited to see it all the way through. I’m a bit hearteyes over Tamal already.

Working on: Applying at more jobs and working on my reading challenges (I’m a couple books ahead of schedule, yay!). Also planning a second brunch event for GGB Cincinnati in August. Our recap will go live July 11, so stay tuned for that. Be sure to check out our Instagram book challenge under the hashtag #tdfjuly16.

A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica CluessReading: I’m about to start A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess, which sounds like it’s going to be a really interesting read. And considering its setting and that I just finished Imprudence, I seem to be on a supernatural Victorian kick.

Listening to: [I can’t think of anything to put in here]

Watching: I think it’s time to rewatch season one of Poldark. I’ve managed to forget most of what happened, and hey, I’m never going to say no to more Aidan Turner. Especially shirtless-with-a-scythe Aidan Turner.

Working on: Our inaugural Instagram challenge! I’m going to be out of town for half the month to go to San Diego Comic Con, so I have a bunch of pictures to take in advance. Gotta get cracking!

Keep an eye out for next week’s post. Let us know what you’re up to this week in the comments below.
