Man Candy: True Blood Edition
[Editor's Note: Thanks to Emily for this luscious man candy post! She's a big True Blood fan, and I have to confess, I've never watched it! I have lots of excuses--didn't have HBO, too lazy to hunt it down, blah blah blah--but after seeing this, I just might have to start watching... -TDF Pamela]
We’re more than halfway through the third season of HBO’s “True Blood,” which is based on Charlaine Harris’s novel “Club Dead.” If you’re a fangirl out there and you’re not watching this show, you should be. First of all, it’s got vampires, werewolves, mind readers and all the fun stuff I love about paranormal novels. The show is also run by Alan Ball (“Six Feet Under”), who is a genius. Many an SF/F movie or TV series has put off female viewers because the producers are male or male-centric; so it might be worth nothing that while Alan Ball is certainly a dude, he’s a gay dude. And he, um, shares certain interests with us.

Actor Joe Manganiello plays a new character this season, werewolf Alcide Herveaux.
Kevin Alejandro’s character Jesus works at a nursing home, but there are rumors that his character might be a fairy. And I don’t mean that he has the hots for fry-cook/drug dealer Lafayette (although that’s true, too).
Those are just the new guys! The old stand-bys are still around.
Fan-favorite Alexander Skarsgård (who I first feel in love with when he played Meekus in “Zoolander”) continues to steal the hearts of fangirls.

Song and dance man Sam Trammell runs around naked a lot, since his character (also named Sam) can turn into any animal.
Aussie Ryan Kwanten’s character, Jason Stackhouse, continues to be dumber than a box of hair, but sometimes it’s okay to be shallow, right? [Ed: YES!]
